Historic Preservation:
Membership in the Woodford County Historical Society provides funding to help keep the library and museum in operation. The library and museum are dedicated to preserving Woodford County's rich history for future generations.
Education:
Part of the mission of the Woodford County Historical Society is to educate the public about Woodford County's rich history. The Society meets on the fourth Thursday of each month, and each meeting features a guest speaker or other program on a topic concerning Woodford County history. Other educational opportunities include tours of our museum and speaking engagements presented by local civic organizations and elementary schools.
Quarterly Newsletter:
Members of the Woodford County Historical Society receive a quarterly newsletter, "Woodford Heritage News," which is complimentary. The newsletter provides members up-to-date information of events hosted by the Historical Society. It also contains interesting articles on Woodford County history, genealogy, personalities, historic preservation, cemeteries, and other topics of interest to Society members. The Newsletter may be either hard copy delivered via USPS or electronic. Please state your preference when becoming a Historical Society Supporter.
Advance Information:
Members receive advance information on Society events, meetings, programs, and other Society activities.
Voting Privileges:
Members have voting privileges at Society business meetings. The membership elects the Board of Directors, approves bylaws changes, and decides other important Society issues.
Opportunity:
Membership in the Woodford County Historical Society provides unique opportunities to join with other members in projects which promote the awareness of and support for the Woodford County Historical Society and Woodford County history and genealogy.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Woodford County history. We have several levels of memberships available. You may pay using a credit card or PayPal by clicking on the link at the bottom of our home page, or alternatively, you may click here to download a membership form. Forms can be mailed to Woodford County Historical Society, 121 Rose Hill Avenue, Versailles, Kentucky, 40383. Memberships are on an annual basis, to be renewed by January 31 of the year.
